Bhalla, President MREI.In 1997, Dr. O.P. Bhalla established first private unaided Engineering College in Faridabad, in the name & style of ‘Career Institute of Technology & Management’. A conjugation of the words 'vidya' and 'antariksha'.Vidya is knowledge, information, the basis of creativity and innovation. It is the foundation of technology and envisaging the future.

Antrikhsha means 'the sky', the space in which we belong or exist.It can be broken into 'Antar'and 'Iksha' which means inner vision.MRIU offers high quality undergraduate and post graduate programmes in a comprehensive range of disciplines, providing a contemporary education that builds successful lives and careers for students and graduates.

Location - The MREI group of Institutions is located in Sector 43 at Faridabad, in the lush green natural surroundings of Aravali Hills. The campus is located on the main Delhi - Surajkund - Badkhal road covering an area of 45 acres land. Campus located less than 10 Km from Delhi Border having easy connectivity to National Capital Territory of Delhi, Gurgaon, NOIDA, Palwal, Sohna etc.

Facilities

Hostel - MRIU provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls: 3 for boys and 3 for girls. Single, double and triple seat rooms are available. The rooms are allotted on first-come, first-serve basis. The hostels have well-furnished rooms with many facilities like TV, PCs, Telephone, Table Tennis, Mess etc. Regular transport services are available between hostel & campus.

Library - Under the INDEST consortium of AICTE, the library is subscribing to 219 IEEE and 21 ASME online journals. The digital library provides access to an exhaustive collection of electronic database which provide information encompassing all areas of Engineering, Applied Sciences and Management. Through the Developing Digital library networking (DELNET) services, via the Internet, MRCE faculty and students have access to many journals apart from the other large collection of learning material. The library is fully computerized and follows the open access system, making the routine tasks of searching and issuing of books very convenient.

Transport - MRIU provides transport facility to its students, faculty and staff through its very impressive fleet of buses connecting almost all major areas of the National Capital Region. This facility allows not only smooth functioning of the college but also helps to maintain punctuality. The bus service is from Faridabad, Palwal, Gurgaon, and from all corners of Delhi.

Healthcare Facilities - The institute has a well-equipped dispensary for first aid and minor medical services where a visiting doctor and nursing staff offer advice and support on any health problem affecting students. The students also have access to the services of specialists available on call for any emergency. Besides having the First- Aid room in the campus and a separate sick bay for boys and girls hostels, MREI has a regular tie up with reputed hospitals for general check up and treatment of students.

Sports - The institute has admirable sporting facilities To ensure a high’ health quotient’ amongst FITians a well equipped gymnasium apart from indoor and outdoor sports facilities exists. Facilities provided include Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, cricket, and athletic tracks.Indoor facilities include table tennis, carom and chess. The fitness level amongst FITians is always high due to inter – class and inter –college tournaments being conducted at regular intervals during the academic sessions

Computer Labs - The Computer Centre offers excellent Online Laboratory facility system to work with. The laboratories are equipped with latest hardware as well as wide range of system and Application Software. The students are provided with computer system to gain knowledge as well as hands on experience. The Centre has a separate Internet laboratory with dedicated 2 MBPS leaseline connection from VSNL. There are 140 workstations having IBM P-IV PCs, housed in four labs, which are networked. Heterogeneous network configured with WINDOWS, UNIX, LINUX and variety of multipurpose softwares for PG and UG Courses. High Speed Internet facility is available at the center to keep pace with the technology-enabled learning.

Placement and Training - The companies prefer to impart training to the students in the college premises itself through a joint programme between the industry and institute, list of the same are as follows -

• HCL Technologies conducted Japanese's Language learning propgramme in the CITM Campus for 24 selected students of 2004-08 batch. The Programme was for 9 Hrs per week for duration of 6 months.
• Infosys has started a Campus-Connect programme in the which college faculty are trained at Infosys and they further train other faculties for technical and soft skills
• Regular Grooming classes are held to aid students in Aptitude / Technical, Mock Test, GDs and Interview Skills for having better placements.
• The companies which generally offer placements to students of the MREI group of institutions include - Tech. Mahindra, Reliance Infocom, Hi-tech E-soft etc.

Cafeteria - MRIU has 3 fast food centers - Cafe-6teen, Canteen & NesCafe Corner. These centres provide meals, snacks and other cuisine in a hygienic atmosphere.
