G.D. Goenka University (GDGU) is a Private University which offers courses in various disciplines like Engineering, Management, Fashion, Design, Hospitality, Education etc. GD Goenka University has been established vide Haryana Act No. 10 (2010) of Government of Haryana and is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). GDGU has been established by the renowned GD Goenka group which has a glorious history of excellence spanning two decades. GDGU is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. It is a recognized university empowered to award its own degrees and diplomas. The GD Goenka University campus is set on 60 acres with the ancient and picturesque Aravalli hills for a backdrop. The high-tech Millennium City, Gurgaon and the National Capital Region are just a stone’s throw away. The University offers choice-based flexible credit system in an inter-disciplinary and trans-disciplinary environment.

Facilities at GDGU

Hostels - The hostel facility comprises of two separate wings for boys and girls. The hostel provides around 500 rooms which are shared by undergraduate and postgraduate students. Rooms can be shared by 2 or 4 students that are provided with attached bathroom with facility of hot and cold water and study rooms.

Hostel Features

• The common room can be shared by 4 or 8 students which are complete with a service unit comprising LCD TV and a refrigerator
• All rooms are provided with network ports and high speed network/internet access, bed linen and blankets
• In-house laundry service with stefab machines for in-house washing and ironing service is available for the students
• The hostel also provides recreational activities which include indoor and outdoor games, swimming pool, gymnasium, saloon, and other sports activities
• A 24-hour highly experienced doctor and an ambulance is also available
• The dining hall is just walking distance from the hostel and serves hygienic buffet system food

Foreign Collaborations - G.D. Goenka University has formed strategic partnerships with some of the top institutions of the world like Politecnico Di Milano Italy, Le Cordon Bleu Australia, University of California Riverside, USA; Oklahama State University, USA; Purdue University, USA. It has also made collaborations with professional bodies like Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transportation  (GILT) UK, British Standards  Institution (BSI), National Stock Exchange of India (NSE); Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) etc.

Lateral Admissions - Admissions through Lateral Entry/Migration to 2^nd Year and 3^rd Year are open for programmes of Communication, Engineering, Fashion and Design, Hospitality, Humanities and Social Science, Law and Management. Students who have completed a 3 Year diploma in Engineering after 10^th class (high school) or a 2-Year diploma in Engineering after 10+2 or a Bachelor's degree in Science (B.Sc. with Mathematics) from other recognized institutions/ universities can be considered academically equivalent to a student who has passed the first year of a 4 Year Engineering degree programme and therefore can seek admission directly to the 2^nd year of the B.Tech. Programme through lateral entry.

A student pursuing an academic programme from any other recognized university and wanting to complete his/her remaining part of the programme at G.D. Goenka University can seek migration to the University under the Credit Transfer Policy of the university. However, under this policy the period of study at G.D. Goenka University shall not be less than 50% of the total duration of the programme.

Scholarships - Merit based Scholarship are provided at the time of admission for PG Programmes.

Candidates seeking admission for Post Graduate programmes will be offered Scholarship for the first year as per following criteria:

In addition to the above scholarships, meritorious students of Haryana Domicile category may be eligible for full or partial fee concession.

General Conditions:

a) All the Scholarships awarded will be for specific year only and for subsequent year,it may continue/discontinue based on the performance of the student in subsequent years and Scholarship policy applicable from time to time.

b) Only one kind of scholarship can be availed by one student. In aggregate percentage Physical Education I, Fine Arts I, Performing Arts I, Vocational I, non-written subjects will not be considered.

d) Any amount of scholarship will not be paid in cash.

Sports - The campus has sports facilities for outdoor sports which includes football ground, cricket pitches, sard courts for basketball, volleyball, tennis, olympic size 400 mts. 8 lane Athletic tracks and a half olympic size all weather swimming pool. The fitness centre offers well equipped gymnasium, swimming pool, squash court and a range of other physical activities. Indoor games such as carom boards, chess, snooker and table tennis are also available for students.

Transport - A full-fledged transport department functions in the university with buses to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places in Delhi and NCR. G.D. Goenka University runs more than 30 fully air conditioned buses across the city.
