Educational Qualification

For B.ASLP / BASLP

Students should have passed a 2-year Pre-University examination from the Pre-University Board of the State of Karnataka or any other examination (10+2) considered as equivalent by the University of Mysore.

OR

Candidates should have had a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC / ST). with subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics.

Note: Students who studied abroad do not need to appear for AIISH Entrance Exam, they are selected on a merit-based in the qualifying exam.

For M.Sc. Speech-Language Pathology / M.Sc Audiology

Students should have a B.Sc (Sp. & Hg.) / B.ASLP degree from the University of Mysore or any other consideration as equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks.

For M.Ed. Spl. Ed. (Hearing Impairment)

Applicants with a pass degree in B.S.Ed (Hearing Impairment) / B.Ed Spl. Ed. (HI) degree from the University of Mysore or any B.Ed (HI) is recognized by RCI of any other University with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC / ST).

Age Limits

• Candidates should not be more than 35 years of age at the time of admission.
• There is a 5 years relaxation in age for candidates on deputation/in-services.

For Ph.D. Audiology (JRF)/Ph.D. Speech and Hearing

• Applicants should have a pass degree in M.Sc Audiology / M.Sc (SLP) / M.Sc (Sp. & Hg.) / MASLP / M.ASLP from the University of Mysore or any other equivalent to it with a minimum of 55% (50% in the case of SC / ST) marks.
• Candidates should also possess 1-year work and research experience after M.Sc. (Aud) / M.Sc (SLP) / M.Sc (Sp. & Hg.) / MASLP / M.ASLP.
