DNB PDCET 2024 - Diplomate of National Board Post Diploma Centralised Entrance Test : Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility, Syllabus and Exam Pattern

DNB PDCET 2024 - Diplomate of National Board Post Diploma Centralised Entrance Test acronym as DNB PD CET is conducted by the National Board of Examination for entry to the DNB Broad Specialty Secondary courses.

Aspiring candidates appearing in the DNB PD CET examination are given a Rank, based on the descending order of the marks obtained by them in the examinations. The merit list is published specialty wise (merit list for DGO, DMRD, DMRT, DORTHO, DOMS, DLO, DA, DVD, DPM, DCH, DNM, DTCD, DPMR DCP, etc. shall be published separately)

Candidates successful in the Post Diploma CET are asked to participate in Centralized counseling conducted by the National Board of Examinations for allotment of DNB secondary seats at NBE accredited Institutions/hospitals/medical colleges in order of their Specialty merit and shall be able to opt for the NBE accredited institution/hospital/medical college of their choice as per seat availability at their merit.

DNB PDCET 2024 Eligibility 

Educational Qualification

• Aspiring candidates who have passed the final examination leading to the award of Post Graduate Diploma from Indian Universities which are duly recognized as per provisions of Indian Medical Council Act 1956, Govt of India i.e., have passed/Passing the final examinations for Postgraduate diploma on or before 30th June, of the respective year can apply for the Post Diploma CET examination in the same Broad specialty.

Note: A proof to this effect must be produced at the time of Counselling.

Other Eligibility Conditions 

• Registration with M.C.I./State Medical Council is necessary, and its documentary proof should be furnished at the time of counseling.

DNB PDCET 2024 Syllabus

DNB PD CET Exam consists of questions from the following subjects of the standard of MBBS exit examination.

DNB PDCET 2024 Pattern

DNB PD CET comprises 180 objective types multiple choice of questions in the English language.

Note: There is No Negative Marking for wrong responses.

DNB PDCET Qualifying Criterion

Candidates who obtain a minimum score as per the category below shall be declared as “Qualified” in DNB PD ET and issued a Pass / Qualifying Certificate.

• General Category – 50% score
• SC / ST / OBC – 40% score
• Persons with Disability – 45% score

DNB PDCET Validity

The validity of the result of the DNB PD CET shall be only for the current admission session i.e. July 2021 admission session only and cannot be carried forward for the next session of CET.

DNB PDCET 2024 Dates

DNB PD CET is normally held in the months of June/December.
