CMC Ludhiana PG Entrance Test 2024 Eligibility 

Educational Qualification:

For Indian Candidates

  • The Indian candidates should have hold MBBS degree from a medical college recognized by MCI or a foreign medical degree included in the schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • He should have obtained full registration from the Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Councils after completing the compulsory rotating internship.

Note: Candidates who have obtained their MBBS from colleges which are not recognized by Medical Council of India will not be granted admission

Important: An Indian National who qualified from a Foreign University/School must produce an eligibility certificate recognizing the qualifying examination as equivalent to MBBS as recognized by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences and the Medical Council of India. This may be obtained from the:

Important: A candidate who after passing the final qualifying examination (MBBS or the foreign Medical degree recognized by MCI) is undergoing 12 months compulsory internship/practical training and is likely to complete the same by 31st Mar 2017 can take the examination but he/ she shall not be eligible for admission unless he/she has completed the compulsory rotating internship and obtained full registration on or before 31st Mar, 2018 or the candidate produces a certificate from the head of the institution that he /she will be completing internship by 31st Mar, 2018

  • No condonation of compulsory rotating internship shall be accepted unless approved by the Medical Council of India along with necessary proof of the approval of the Medical Council of India
  • Registration with the MCI/State Medical council is necessary and its documentary proof shall be furnished at the time of counseling

Service obligation: An applicant, who is expected to complete the service obligation in lieu of Sponsorship (for MBBS/PG-Diploma) by 31st Mar 2018, may apply

A letter to this effect must be provided along with the application, from the Principal of the concerned Medical College or authorized representative of the Sponsoring Body/Church or any other appropriate authority. Applicants should have completed a minimum of 2 years of service obligation by 31st Mar 2018, allowing for adjustment of un-availed leave, if any

For NRI Candidates 

  • Non-Resident Indian (NRI): An Indian Citizen who stays abroad for employment/carrying on business, to pursue a vocation outside India or under circumstances indicating an intent ion for an uncertain duration of stay abroad is a non-resident. (Persons posted in U.N. organizations and officials deputed abroad by Central/State Governments and Public Sector undertakings on temporary assignments are also treated as non-residents)
  • Non-resident foreign citizens of Indian Origin are treated on par with non-resident Indian citizens (NRIs) for the purpose of certain facilities

 

CMC Ludhiana PG Entrance Test 2024 Syllabus 

The syllabus for the CMC Ludhiana PG Entrance Exam consists of questions from MBBS syllabus of approved by MCI.

 

CMC Ludhiana PG Entrance Test 2024 Pattern 

  • CMC Ludhiana PG Entrance Exam will consist of a total of 300 marks.
  • This will be a common written examination for postgraduate diploma and degree courses, consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions from the MBBS syllabus, carrying one mark each without any negative marking for wrong answers.
  • Depending on choice and aptitude, candidates may choose to apply for the Medical, Surgical, Basic Sciences or a combination of these streams (One, Two or More).
  • A candidate will be required to score 50% marks in the Written Test to qualify and an applicant who qualifies will then have to appear for a viva voce in the particular streams as per the choice(s) specified on the application form

The Merit lists will be prepared on the basis of the total of the following marks (300 marks) obtained by the applicant:

  • Written Test (Maximum Marks: 200)
  • Viva Voce (Maximum Marks: 50)
  • Additional marks, if any (Maximum Marks: 50)

Note: Candidates who do not appear for the viva voce will not be considered in the Final Merit List.

 

How to apply for CMC Ludhiana PG Entrance Exam?

  • Prospective candidates can apply be downloading the application form from www.cmcludhiana.in.  The online application form, duly completed, should be first submitted online by the last date.
  • The Application form (Form 100-PDF) and Form 99 (PDF-For Additional marks) should subsequently be printed, filled and sent along with enclosures and fee Application number generated on submission of online form must be quoted on the Application Form-(Form 100)
  • All candidates have to submit a fee of Rs.3300 (inclusive of prospectus fee and application fee) as demand draft in favor of “Christian Medical College Ludhiana Society” payable at Ludhiana. Completed application forms are to be sent to The Registrar’, Christian Medical College, Ludhiana-141008
  • Procedure to Submit Application Form
    Every candidate will be required to log on to ‘Admissions 2016’ on the institutional website www.cmcludhiana.in. Click on link “MD/MS/PG Diploma 2016” and register yourself as a new 12 User and login. The assigned application number must be quoted in all future correspondence.
  • Follow the instructions given:
    A recent passport size photograph (.jpg format only; preferably of a minimum size of 295 x 356 pixels) should be uploaded in the space provided. The uploaded photograph should be taken against a plain background and be identical to the ones stapled on the printed PDF form
  • The photographs should not be altered by using Photoshop or other software
  • This along with relevant enclosures and requisite fee must be posted to ‘The Registrar’, Christian Medical College Ludhiana-141008, Punjab.
  • Proof of posting will not be considered as proof of receipt of the same
