Front Office Assistant is an administrative management vocational Trade. The duration of trade is one year with two semesters of six months each. Students are taught about works like responsible for greeting visitors at the front desk, answering busy telephone lines and providing support to the team; filing, scanning, faxing, as well as typing specific documentation; coordinating incoming and outgoing mail; preparing general correspondences and customer assessments as needed and occasionally works on special projects. There are many ITIs in the country providing trade for this subject. After passing the trade students have good scopes for job in various administrative departments.

Front Office Assistant Trade Required Skills

  • Students should possess traits like an excellent communication skills; maintain image of company by example and outmost professionalism and the ability to multi-task.
  • They also required to have good knowledge of grammar, composition, spelling and punctuation; and good time management skills.
  • They should also know of maintaining an effective and efficient telephone, written and electronic communication skills; excellent customer service telephone skills.
  • They should be good at accurate typing skills and ten-key by touch; good analytical abilities; proficiency with PCs and computer programs including Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
