Mason (Building Constructor) is a building construction vocational trade. The duration of trade is one year with two semesters of six months each. During trade, students are introduced to different topics of construction such as completing a building project on time and within a budget; oversee the building of a new structure, renovation of a historic building or remodelling of an existing house; fill out necessary paperwork and adhere to local, regional or national guidelines and the like many others. Trade is career orienting in nature that opens many job fields at different places. There are many ITIs offering this trade in the country.

  • Students should be passed in 8th class examination under 10+2 system from a recognised school board in the country.

Mason (Building Constructor) Trade Required Skills

  • Students should be in good physical shape as during work they may be required to enter a hot attic, navigate a crowded construction site or crouch into a damp basement.
  • Applicants should possess strong reading and writing skills as they have to go through paperwork, including legal contracts and government forms during the course of a project.
  • Students should have good decision power and work well under pressure particularly when faced with unexpected delays.
