Pattern Maker is an industrial foundry vocational trade. The duration of trade is two years and in some cases it lasts for three years (including one year basic trainings) depending on institute and place to place. The syllabus mainly comprises topics that how to make apparel or fabric patterns; create a pattern either free-hand or with computer aided drafting software; create templates or models that are used to produce copies of products ranging from shoes and shirts to chairs and plastic containers: write or scribe specifications and identification marks directly on materials; set up automated and manual tools, operate them to make patterns and the like others. Trade is career orienting in nature that opens many opportunities in various fields.
