Phototype Setter & Desktop Publishing Operator is a printing technological vocational trade. The duration of trade is one year with semesters of six months each. The syllabus mainly comprises topics like how to work to a design brief from the client or designer using DTP software to produce a layout for each page of the publication; select formatting such as the size and style of type, column width and spacing; select and check colours; scan and edit photographs and other images and the like others. There are many ITIs offering this trade in the country.
