Agricultural Entomology is a multidisciplinary area of research with collaboration with other units both within and outside of the department. Simply, it is applied ecology with roots in plant protection and the population dynamics of insects.

The focus of the Master of Science degree program in the Agricultural Entomology unit is not only insect pests but also the beneficial arthropods found in the agro-ecosystem that contribute to ecosystem services such as biological control and pollination. An important component of research in plant protection is the interaction among pest insects, their natural enemies, and alternative prey. The Master Degree degree course in Agricultural Entomology is career-orienting in nature that opens many opportunities after its successful passing.

M.Sc Agricultural Entomology Eligibility

  • Aspiring students should have completed a 4-year B.Sc in Agriculture degree or an equivalent qualifying examination recognized by the university board.
