M.Tech in Soil and Water Engineering or Master of Technology in Soil and Water Engineering is a two-year postgraduate program broken into four six-month semesters. The course focuses on the ideas and procedures involved in making optimal use of soil and water, with the ultimate goal of increasing soil productivity and avoiding and correcting water waste.
The primary goal of the course is to familiarise advanced students with the application of engineering techniques to different soil and water management problems such as erosion control, drainage, irrigation, flood control, moisture conservation, water resource development, and so on.
The Soil and Water Engineering course has been created to provide students with academic and practical instruction on the topic, allowing them to comprehend the notion of effective soil and water use. The major goal is to train professionals who can help to improve the fertility and productivity of Indian rural land while reducing farmers' reliance on fertilizers and other chemicals through creative and effective water conservation and management approaches.
