AIPGDET 2024 - All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Test or AIPGDET is a type of Medical Entrance Exam conducted for admissions to Master of Dental Surgery (M.D.S.) in Dr. D.Y. Patil Dental College and Hospital, Pimpri, Pune. The College is affiliated with Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth. Therefore it is also known as 'Dr. D.Y Patil All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Test-Pune' or 'AIPGDET-Pune'.

Educational Qualification
- Aspiring candidates should have completed a B.D.S. degree from a recognized dental college included in the schedule of the Indian Dental Council Act, 1948.
- Those who have obtained registration from the Dental Council of India or from any State Dental Council, after completing a one-year compulsory rotator internship are also eligible for this All India Postgraduate Dental Entrance Examination.
- Candidates who are yet to complete an internship can also attend the exam under the condition that they have to produce a certificate from the Principal/Dean regarding the date of completion of the internship.
- Those who will be completing the internship before 31st March of the year of the conduction of examination can also apply for provisional admission but they should submit a certificate by the head of the institution declaring the date of completion of an internship.

AIPGDET 2024 Pattern
- The AIPGDET will be of two hours duration containing 125 multiple-choice questions ( MCQs).
- Questions will be a single best response objective type with four answer options.
- Each correct answer will be awarded one mark. There shall be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
- The examinations will be conducted in English.
- The Entrance Test shall be of the standard of B.D.S. examinations and shall cover all the subjects of the B.D.S. course.
How to apply for AIPGDET 2024?
Aspiring candidates of the All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Test of this Vidyapeeth will be requiring to fill up the application form online.
The candidate must read the instructions for filling up the online application form. These instructions are available on the website. The transaction ID is the number allotted to an applicant by the On-Line Application registration system after submission of the Online application successfully. The system also automatically emails the candidate the transaction id allotted.
AIPGDET Exam 2024 Fees
- The entrance Test fees are Rs. 1250/- for the General category, Rs, 625/- for SC/ST/PwD categories.
The fee is payable by Cash/ Demand Draft drawn in favor of Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil University drew on a nationalized or scheduled bank, payable at Navi Mumbai / Mumbai.
Note: The candidate should write HIS/HER name and address and Transaction ID number on the reverse side of the demand draft.
