PGI Chandigarh MD/MS Entrance Exam 2024 Eligibility

Educational Qualification

• Aspiring candidates should have passed the final MBBS examination from a recognized medical college, included in the schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Or
• Candidates, who have obtained registration either from the Medical Council of India or from the authorized State Medical Council after completing the one-year compulsory rotating internship, are also eligible. Or
• A candidate, who is still undergoing a one-year compulsory rotating internship and is likely to complete it by 31st March of the year of the Examination, is also eligible to appear at the PGI Entrance Exam. His / Her selection will be subject to completion of a compulsory rotating internship of one year and registration before 15th April. He/she will have to submit documentary evidence from the Principal / Dean of the college regarding the anticipated date of completion of the internship along with the application, failing which, his / her application shall be rejected. Or
• NRI, PIO, or FN candidates who have passed the M.B.B.S. or equivalent examination exam from a college outside India shall be eligible for admission, provided he/she obtains registration from the Medical Council of India.

• PGI Chandigarh MD/MS Entrance Exam consists of objective-type multiple-choice questions to be completed in 3 Hrs.
• The question paper has 250 questions with 5 options each.

Note: There is a Negative Marking for a wrong answer i.e. 1/4th.

How to apply for PGI Chandigarh MD/MS Entrance Exam 2024?

• Aspiring candidates are required to download the application form/challan form from the official website of PGI http://pgimer.edu.in and follow the instructions given there.

Note: The challan form is required to be filled up in the name of Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh (Examination) in the Power Jyoti Account number 32211613319, and those candidates who have SBI account can also pay their fee through the I-collect service of SBI and I-collect account number is 32222954695.

• In that case, the INB reference number will have to be mentioned instead of the challan number on the application form.
