B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture or Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Agriculture is an undergraduate Agriculture Science and Technology course. The duration of the course is three years (four years program in some colleges). Agriculture includes the study of various methods of agriculture, the use of modern fertilizers for the improvement of crops and the ways to improve the present technique of Agriculture with the help of modern technology. The study under B.Sc in Agriculture (Honors) includes use of various technological aspects for the betterment of agriculture. Other essential skills are good observation skills, communication skill, organizing skills, written and oral skills, the ability to give presentations and knowledge of common business concepts.
Candidates also should possess good computer knowledge which is essential to analyze data and to control biological and chemical processing.
