HRD Manager also known as Human Resource Manager is responsible to manage the personall department of any organisation which includes recruiting, posting, training, supervising and firing of the the non-performing employees.

Human Resource Management (HRM) earlier known as personal management is a highly competitive and sought after profession in the field of management. Eligibility to become a Human Rerource Develpment Manager
To be an HRD Manager one should have Masters Degree in Human Resource Management. The courses specifically meant for Human Resource Management are:
- Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM)
- Master of Human Resource and Organizational Development (MHROD)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Development (PGDHRD)
Eligibility condition for joining Master Degree/Diploma
The eligibility criteria for applying to these courses are graduation in any discipline. The master’s programme will be of 2 years duration and PG Diploma programmes will be of 1 year duration.
Basically admission to these programmes will be based on aptitude test, GD and interview.
The selection procedure may vary depending on the institutes. Most institutes admit students on the basis of marks scored in exams like CAT by IIMs, MAT by All India Management Association, XAT by Xavier Institute etc.
Some institutes conduct their own exam to these courses.
Many Management courses offer Human Resource Management as a specialization to the major course. In MBA, the specialization will be offered in the 2nd year. Compared to MBA, MHRM is an exclusive 2 year programme on Human resources.

Salary of Human Resource Managers varies depending on the type of organization, economic activity, geographic location and profitability. Experienced Human Resource Managers are offered Rs.20,000 to Rs.30,000 per month especially in private organizations.
Candidates from top Business schools like IIM’s; XLRI’s etc can earn around Rs.3,00,000 to Rs.5,00,000 annually. The remuneration will spruce up depending on one’s own managerial skill, qualification and experience etc. For a senior level post, an MBA graduate can be offered Rs.50,000 to Rs.60,000 per month and even more to the deserving candidates.
