Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or B.S is one of the highly studied degree course among science students. This course comprises of subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.   • Aviation: The first route of this course can be Commercial Pilot. Certificate of Commercial Pilot can be obtained with a program of 19-24 months duration. Other licenses which can be obtained are Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Pilot License, and Commercial Pilot License. Duration is around 3 years and DGCA approved.
  • Merchant Navy: This field is the backbone of international trade. The course involves trading in commercial items via sea route across the world. B.Sc in Nautical Science B.Tech in Marine Engineering can be pursued.

Important Exams after B.Sc. Non-Medical

  • Defense Service Exams: CDS (Combined Defence Service) entrance exams conducted by UPSC twice a year for an entry to Indian Military Academy/Naval Academy/Air Force Academy/Officer’s Training Academy with the age limit of 19-25 yrs.
  • Civil Service ExamThis exam is conducted every year to select candidates for the posts of an IAS, IPS, IRS etc. Age limit is 21-30 yrs.
  • SCRA (Special Class Railway Apprentice): This exam is conducted by UPSC every year with age limit of 17-21 yrs.
  • Bank Clerical and Bank P.O. Exam conducted by SBI and IBPS. Age limit is 18-30 yrs.
